Market leader in engineering and IT consultancy Akkodis focuses on jobs and growth through partnership with Living Tomorrow

Akkodis, which recently emerged from the joining of Akka Technologies and Modis, signed a five-year strategic partnership with Living Tomorrow in the presence of former European president Herman Van Rompuy. Through this partnership, Akkodis wants to fully commit to growth on the one hand, and on the other hand, it wants to fill more than 400 sustainable vacancies through innovative projects.

"The best way to really be ready for the future is when you start 'engineering' it yourself," says Serge Vandenhoudt, CEO at Akkodis Belgium. "Today, we are the engineering and digital partner of choice for many top companies in various sectors, but of course we don't want to be left behind. That's why, through the partnership with Living Tomorrow, we want to take the lead and become a kind of 'trend watcher' for our customers, bringing the technology of the future in-house before our customers even ask. This way we ensure that we can respond to innovative projects and new technologies much faster, because we have built up the expertise beforehand."

Part of the leading innovation community in Europe

"Living Tomorrow brings together different partners in a unique ecosystem to respond to the challenges of the future," says Herman Van Rompuy, chairman of the Living Tomorrow advisory board. "That is the ultimate strength of this community with a number of prominent companies on board. We are building key innovations here in the heart of Europe: we are discovering the future and inventing it at the same time."

is to ‘engineer’ it yourself.

- Serge Vandenhoudt, CEO Akkodis Belgium

"For us, Akkodis is an important partner," says Joachim De Vos, CEO of Living Tomorrow. "Because of their multi-sector expertise and focus on digital and engineering, they can play the role of catalyst in just about any project within our community. For example, they have already gained important expertise in developing an electric car powered by solar panels, and they are also working on the green energy transition with leading customers in the sector. This ensures that there are already many building blocks available to solve various social problems through the innovative use of existing and new technologies. We are already looking forward to seeing what Living Tomorrow will come up with in the next few years - it will certainly be exciting!"

"Thanks to this partnership, we are laying the foundation to make Akkodis a powerhouse in terms of technology and innovation, and from 2023 onwards, in Belgium alone, we will be filling no less than 400 extra sustainable jobs with our customers. The growth has started!", concludes Serge Vandenhoudt.
